Excellent book. Detailed, full of information, very enjoyable. Highly recommend. I used it for a college crime in lit course, and the students found it extremely readable and enjoyable.

Painful reading!

A very dry, painful read, this book attempts to trace the growth of forensic science as it develops in both the real world and in literature. The subject matter is good but the delivery is just short of brutal. This might be used as source material for a research paper but otherwise reads like a phonebook.
